Taba Heights Marina, Egypt Taba Heights is in a wonderful location; close to Israel by land, and Saudi Arabia and Jordan by sea, and is great for visitors on land or sea. The Marina was approved as an International Tourist Marina license in 2005, and is now the first port of entry. So instead of checking in at farther flung ports like Sharm El Sheik, Hurghada or even Alexandria, boats can check in at Taba Heights when they want to sail Egyptian waters, and use the secure moorings available there. This is so much more convenient for the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea. Yachts can be moored overnight, with room for 50 vessels. The Marina has a depth of between two and a half and three metres, and the water area measures a generous 11,500 square metres. Because it now has a marina license the company that owns Taba Heights can increase its links with Tala Bay, El Gouna and other prestigious destinations. It is possible to take a trip to Jordan and Israel from Taba Heights, and day tours to Petra can also be organised through your rep, or independently. Taba Heights Marina is in a wonderful position, being only nine nautical miles from Tala Bay Resort and Marina in Aqaba, and only 13 nautical miles to the Royal Yacht Club, also in Aqaba. Anyone wanting to moor in the Marina is asked to submit their requests 24 hours before arrival and during normal working hours. They will receive a written confirmation of their date and time of arrival. If the correct Arrival Request Form is fully completed the application will be processed as quickly as possible. |
